COMMON GROUND
Common Ground is Embers’ free monthly social and peer-support programme for young adults living with incurable or terminal cancer. Designed to feel more like a social group than a traditional support group, Common Ground provides a relaxed, welcoming space where people can meet others who genuinely understand what it is like to live with cancer that cannot be cured. Each session includes refreshments and an activity or workshop, giving people the opportunity to build friendships, share experiences and simply enjoy time together.
There is no pressure to talk about cancer, but there is comfort in knowing that everyone in the room just gets it. Cancer is understood at Common Ground, but it doesn’t have to dominate the conversation.
Common Ground is free to attend, open to all cancer types and does not require a formal referral.
DROP-INS WELCOME. PLEASE CHECK OUR WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA FOR PROGRAMMES & CHANGES.
