Founder's Story

"In 2019, I was diagnosed with breast cancer just days after my 25th birthday. After undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, I thought I had conquered it. But in March 2023, I discovered that my cancer had returned, spreading to my liver and lungs. My diagnosis is now incurable, but treatable.

This experience has ignited my passion for raising awareness about incurable cancer in young adults. Since my secondary diagnosis, I have met many others facing similar battles, and together we agree: there is a gap in the support available to those aged 18-40 diagnosed with incurable cancer.

I founded Embers to fill that gap, providing a lifeline of information, advice, and community to young adults who need it most.
